Farewell, Copenhagen

We usual, we woke up early to have the scrumptious breakfast at The Square. Then we headed back to get ready to head to the airport. As Denmark is the land of Lego.. there was even a "scanner" made out of Lego for children.

Beep! Green light
And there was even a lane for parents travelling with children to use:
As this lane was shorter, we cleared immigration and then carry on check faster than the rest of the group. Mei-mei and I had to wait a while for everyone else to clear.
One last "photo" of Copenhagen
Oh, my smiley son!
We finally boarded the plane and had our lunch on board.

This was Evelyn's meal.. funnily, it was spicy!
As it was a long flight and we took of during lunch time, everyone was hungry before the second meal was served. Daddy asked for cup noodles for Mei-mei and when Ko-ko found out (smelled it...), we also ordered one for him.
When we finally landed in Singapore (early in the morning), the first thing Ko-ko and Ah Kong did was to have one more round of Curry Laksa before heading to the terminal to go back to Penang.
We arrived in Penang all tired out (and jet lagged) because it was not possible to sleep for long seeing that it was afternoon Copenhagen time when we were on the plane. Luckily our usual driver was there to pick us up and after clearing our bags, showering, we all dozed off.. and only woke up later to have lunch.

Hello again, Copenhagen

As it was too early, we could not check into the rooms. So we dropped our bags at the storage and headed out to roam Copenhagen again. Ah Kong and Ah Ma said they were too tired and did not want to go out. This round we managed to get into the City Hall. While climbing the City Hall tower was one of our itineraries, we were not in the mood to attempt that, so we skipped that.

We wandered around a bit more and then found ourselves in the Lego shop.
The mural is made of Lego!
Oh.. what a pretty girl *kiss*kiss*
We were not very hungry so we opted to have something light: sausages from a stall (which still costs us RM100 for this light lunch!!). Found some seats to sit and have our lunch.
We then headed back to the hotel to find that our rooms are now available. Yay!! Brought our luggage up to the (same) rooms and rested abit.
Later on, we asked Ah Kong and Ah Ma if they wanted to join us for a little walk. And they said "OK". As we walked into Strøget we spotted Sv. Michelsen Chokolade, which I had read was great Danish chocolates. So we (obviously) picked some chocolate and Evelyn also got an ice-cream.
After walking around, we found a place to sit down in the cool evening, watch the people passing by and have some drinks. Only problem was there as an unpleasant smell in the air. We couldn't put our fingers on it, until it finally hit daddy! Oh no!! We were so near the Royal Stables, hence we got a good whiff of the "royal horses' poop"!

We could not decide on where to go for dinner. In the end, after asking Ah Ma if she would make the walk, we headed to Karla's again. We took a slow walk to enjoy the view of Copenhagen one last time and to take pictures:

At long last, we reached Karla's and there was a nice seat outside. Lovely way to end our holidays in Europe.
We also got the waiter to take our family picture:
After dinner, we took a slow walk back to the hotel to call it a day.

Goodbye Regal Princess

We woke up early to get ready and then headed to Allegro for breakfast.

Then we went back to the room to get ready to leave the ship. As we were walking off with no assistance to disembark, our time was a little more flexible, although we needed to disembark by 8.30 am. We planned to meet Ah Kong and Ah Ma and get off the ship through the lift nearer to their room.
But in the end, the queue to get into the lift was too long and so they waited for the lift while we walked all the way down from the 15th floor to the 4th floor. Luckily Evan was strong enough to handle one of the main luggage while daddy carried the other down the staircase. All I had to do was to carry the hand carry and Mei-mei her Stanley Bear.
Next was the very long queue to disembark. And coincidentally our timing was the same as Ah Kong and Ah Ma who got out of the lift.
When we finally cleared the ship, we walked out and there were an abundance of taxi's available for us. So we hopped into a larger taxi (like what we had been taking in Copenhagen) and headed to The Square again.

Quick Stop - Olso, Norway

The original plan for the day was to just stay on the ship and enjoy the facilities. After all the ship was only stopping for half a day in Norway. So daddy woke up early with the intention of going for a jog and to the gym. But he looked out and saw a beautiful fort just next to where we were docked. So he rushed back to the room to wake us all up to have breakfast and go explore a little.

So we all went for breakfast and got back to dress up warmly. Then headed to get Ah Kong from his room. While our original plan was to just explore the fort opposite from where we were berthed, we were attracted to the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus which was parked just nearby. Found out that a ride around was less than an hour so we opted to hop onto the bus and have a look around Oslo. Here are some random shots from my phone and daddy's camera:
Hopped off the bus at the port. The Akershus Fortress was our next stop. As we were busy looking at the outside, we spotted Ah Ma. I nearly got a fright as Evelyn got all excited to see Ah Ma and started walking towards her... across the road with a vehicle heading towards her. Luckily she stopped walked when I shouted to her to stop.
Daddy set up his tripod to take this picture:

Mei-mei wanted to take a picture with the guard. He nodded yes when I asked if we could take a picture with him. He even smiled for the photo:
We took a quick stop in the very busy gift shop before heading back to the ship to drop our stuff and to have lunch at the Horizon Court.
One last photo at the Skywalk

Then we dropped Evelyn at the Tree House for some fun while we rested and Ko-ko joined Ah Kong for some games and exercise. We then picked Mei-mei at 5pm to have some beer:

Tonight would be our final night on board the ship. As we left for dinner at the Allegro we spotted James, our super room steward. Evan took a picture with him to remember him by.
I dropped Evelyn for her "Pyjama Party" at the Tree House and we took a picture with one of the nice carers at the center.
Our last dinner on board the ship:
The menu which changes daily
Dessert.. the best
Apple pie with ice-cream
That evening as is the custom on the Princess Cruises, the waiters presented us with a short show bringing out the Bombe Alaska.

We headed downstairs to watch the entertainers one last time before finally heading back to the room to call it a night.
