As for Ko-ko, your plan seems to be just sleep, eat and play computer games (and PS4 games), and maybe throw in a few days of exercise. So I have added a task: for you to learn to cook something for the family at least once a week.

2021 Awards Night and Last Day of School
Like last year, the Awards Night was held online via YouTube on Thursday evening. We watched the event and many children received their awards. As for you, you received your certificate in recognition of you being the Assistant Class Monitor for 3 Love.
And in celebration of the last day of school, daddy and I went out to buy pizza from Via Pre. We nearly could not make it as Evelyn still had her usual short lunch break of 30 minutes before her final lesson for the school year (and final lesson every with Mr John).

Nanna and Grampy's Anniversary
Today is Nanna and Grampy's 52nd Anniversary. We we could not make it over to BM to celebrate with them, I placed an order for a cake as well as dinner for them. Nanna sent over these pictures:
Finally.. It has arrived
It took us a long time to decide on whether a laptop was needed. And then what laptop to get for Ko-ko. Your Mac was already nearing the end of it's life. Then when we checked the delivery date online, it said 20-25 working days! Oh no! Looks like we needed to order earlier so that you will have the laptop around when your new school year starts. You will be needing it for the ICT subject.
Update on the Inflammation
Well, today we rushed over to the hospital as daddy was very busy with meetings and follow up needed for the escalation at work.
It wasn't too long before we got to see Dr. Mary. She agreed that the (now called) inflammation is smaller. It was 2x2cm and now is 1.5x1.5cm. She asked if we would like to have it removed or go with another dose of antibiotics. We decided to go with the antibiotics first.. The removal process is not going to be done by her. Instead a surgeon will need to do it and she may need to go under local or general anesthesia!
Hopefully it will go off. Dr. Mary told us to squeeze the puss out if it ruptures. It may be painful, but better than going to see the surgeon.
Let's hope for the best.

Pimple, Boil or Insect Bite?
You had told me that you had a pimple near your right underarm and I had just not bothered to look at it, thinking it would go away on it's own.
A few days later, you mentioned it again and when we took a look at it, there was a "head". So on Wednesday night daddy tried to squeeze the "pimple", but it turned out to be a very big growth... more like a boil.
It leaked out pus but you were in pain whenever we squeezed, so we left it and decided to see Dr. Mary on Friday morning. Luckily, daddy and I were on leave as we were going to have our Covid vaccination and you had no lessons as it was Report Card day.
Dr. Mary told us that it was an insect bite. She administered anti-biotics for 5 days and told us to go back to see her only if the swelling does not go away.
Well today, her nurse Rajesh called to check to see if we needed to go back to see Dr. Mary and I said it looked swollen still, so we'll be visited Dr. Mary again tomorrow.
Hopefully she wouldn't need to make an incision to remove the pus.

Potty Crafty
I had bought the white plastic pots with base from Daiso a long time back. We finally got started painting the pots using Ko-ko's acrylic paints (we're putting those big tubes of paint to good use). This was about 2 weeks ago. We painted the base colours on our pots.
Then we finally found the time to finish up the pots today. We had to touch up some of the touch areas of the pot and the base as they got stuck to the newspapers while drying up.And here's our finished work:

Little Fashionista
The teachers in school come up with very interesting CCA activities (used to be called Co-Curriculum Activities, now called Creative Class for Advancement).
This is one of the assignment for "Dressing Sense". You need to dress up for a trip to Disneyland. So with the assumption the weather is summer/spring, you dressed up in leggings, singlet, a cap, complete with a backpack, sport shoes and most importantly a water bottle.
Another part of this topic was to be a fashion designer for 3 functions:
1. Birthday party
2. Beach Party
3. School

Balloon Kitty
You had asked me to buy you white balloons for a while. It was intended for my "birthday present". But I'd forget and when I finally remembered, my birthday had passed and there was no white balloon.
Anyhow, I also got you another pack which had white balloons, but it was heart shaped. Today you took one out to inflate it. Just so tiny and then you decided to draw on it.
Ta-da.. here's your little kitty. Proud to say, you did a nice job. It's so adorable...
.. oh, both the kitty and you *kiss*

Cambridge Checkpoint Results
I had forgotten to post about this:
Just as I was about to log into the school SAP (School and Parent) program for Secondary on 18th June, I received an email saying that the Checkpoint results were out. And of course, our dear young man was very quite about it. When I walked into your room to ask, you nonchalantly told me 6-6-5 for Science-Maths-English.
I understand that the English paper was a surprise which you did not know how the format was to be, but you still managed to get a band 5, which is a good result.
So in actual fact the impromptu dinner we had on Saturday was also a celebration of your result.
Good job. We're proud of you.

Fever
It was a day off for you kids yesterday. Daddy and I had gone out earlier to buy lunch for everyone before he headed to the office.
After I had showered, I went down to talk to Mei-mei and you told me that you were feeling a bit warm. You seemed perfectly fine right up to then. But the moment we went up and I checked that your temperature was 38.8 degrees, you started to cry and asked me not to let daddy know what you were sick.
You didn't have much of an appetite to finish your lunch. Then when we were in your room, enjoying the air-con, I had to go back to my room as I needed both my computer monitors to work. Later you came to me and told me that you had napped.
But your fever did not really break. You made a big fuss each time you needed to take the medicine, I had to bribe you with a marshmallow.
At dinnertime, Kakak cooked chicken moi-moi for you but you could not eat. Daddy even offered you ice-cream, but you could not finish that even. I had to give you a long, cool shower to try to bring down your fever. You even asked if you would be able to go to school the next day!
You slept on the bed with me and I woke up a couple of times to check on your temperature. In the morning, your body still felt warm, but you were back to your normal self: talking a mile a minute. That was the first thing Ah Kong noticed too when he woke up and saw you at the dining table.
One thing though is that you were scratching yourself profusely as you ate breakfast and your whole body was all red when you showered. And during lessons, you also complained about a consistent itch. So after lunch you had another shower an we slathered you with the aloe vera gel to soothe your skin.
I hope this fever and itch will go away soon. *hugs*

Our Little Edible Garden
I had walked into your room as you were having CCA today with Miss Chan. The topic was planting. So you asked me to take pictures of our ladies fingers to show your friends.
So I went downstairs and took other pictures too:

EYE are over! Woohoo!!!
Today marks the end of the EYE exam week. It was all conducted online and there were moments of "stress" (for mummy) as I face issues to get the stuff printed. Luckily daddy was around the first time and Ko-ko was not having his exams the second time it happened.
Here is the mirror on the table we set up next to the writing table. I was so fearful that my little rampaging bull would knock it over when you got up from your seat.
Ko-ko had to wear his school uniform for all the exams. (He wore the same shirt for the whole week!!)
Whatever it is, I'm glad the week is over. Here's to looking forward to the summer break!
