Christmas in Queensbay Mall

We'd seen the beautiful Christmas decorations in Queensbay. So 2 weekends ago we brought you all to Queensbay. Had yummy kai see hor fun for lunch then we headed to the central atrium where the decorations were put up. Here's what you both got to enjoy:

You had a go at the Nerf shooting game and won yourself something.

Daddy bought you 2 tickets. The 2nd time around we made sure tou got to sit on the front seat where you rang the bell throughout the while ride.

Happy Birthday, Daddy

Happy birthday to the world's best daddy. Had a wonderful time preparing with the kids: planning on the cards and sneaking the birthday present which Mei-mei let out of the bag. We managed to keep it a secret until 5 minutes before it was time to surprise daddy...

Handmade is the Best

On Saturday we spent time planning and making daddy's birthday card. First round was with Ko-ko while Mei-mei had her nap. We Googled and come up with this "i Pad" sine we could not afford to buy him an actual iPad *grin*

Mega Sports Camp

For Mei-mei it was her first time attending the sport camp. For Ko-ko it was his 6th time attending. And as usual this was a fun event. Friday ended with you both and HZ getting a treat from Ah Ma: lunch in Wendy's.
To my surprise there was even a medal/trophy stash for the both of you.

Gift for Your Teachers

You decided that thete were a few teachers who you wanted to make gifts for. So on the final weekend before school holidays we made 2 flowers: for Miss Florence and Miss Bernice and a caterpillar for Mrs. Koong.

Christmas is Coming

It's that time of the year again.. to bring out the Christmas tree. We planned to do it the weekend before but did not have time. So we did it this Saturday. Here are the noth of you helping and supervising daddy:

Sleeping On Your Own

It started on Monday when we slept in Ko-ko's room as you were down with a fever. Dragged over the mattress for you to sleep on. That night, you woke up once to cuddle with me and sleep. When I put you back to sleep on the mattress until the next morning.
On Tuesday as the fever went away,we moved back to my room and when daddy offered to bring over the mattress for you to sleep, you happily agreed.
It has been 3 nights that you spent on your bed throughout the night. Just woke up to cough a little and went back to sleep.
This morning (much to daddy's delight) you climed to bed to cuddle with him for a while before moving back to your bed and to continue sleeping.
Think the person who misses your presence on the bed most is daddy...  although he will never admit to it *grin*

Bubbly Fun

Bought you a bottle of bubbles to blow on Saturday when we went shopping for Ian Ko-ko's birthday present. Here are pictures of you having fun, although you had spilled nearly half the bottle on the grass. We've got more for another day of fun.

Beautiful Flower

What a nice surprise. You brought this for me: Ah Kong cut the flower for you while Ko-ko helped you tape up the paper to hold thw flower.

Lunch with Music

Played masak masak with me while I was cutting up the ingredients for tomorrow's dessert.

You "cooked up" my pizza and served it with my order of orange juice. And to top it up, my meal was served with music accompaniment:

Tricky Mind

Was wondering why ypur wallet was so bulky. Opened it to find that you had hidden your Pokemon erasers inside. You wanted to bring to school to play with although school does not allow you to bring them to school. So you hid it in your wallet to avoid being detected and confiscated by the school prefects.

Kakak is Back

Kakak had goneback to Indonesia for 5 weeks. During that time, we ate out most days. Ah Ma only cooked on days when Ko-ko had tuition and sometimes on weekends.

When Kakak came back, you were so happy. I heard you keep telling her "I'm so happy you are back" and hugging her legs. Not too sure if she understood what you said, but I'm sure she misses you too.

As for Evan, I think you'd also miss her. Reason is that you'll no longer need to wash your shoes now that she's back. And I'd say she does a very good job washing your shoes as compared to what you have done *wink*. But I'm glad that you both helped out in your little ways while she was away. And daddy also took over my tasks (taking care of the 2 of you) while I had to do more of the house work. 

According to Evan...

.. mummy's new job is "cockroach remover".

Yup.. new job at home. Every morning we'll find one (or more) cockroaches in your bathroom. And as you do your business, you'll be calling out to me to tell me that there is one cockroach to pick up. Either under the cabinets or the bathroom door or in plain view.

And when I pick them up, you'll make sure that you stay WAAAYYY out of the way.

When asked why is it that I have to remove the cockroach you will respond "because it's your job what...". Sigh.. nice new job. 

Baby Claire

Evan: Mummy.. today Evelyn stripped her doll. I saw her bum bum. And she did not want to put back on her clothes!!!

Mummy: Aiyoooo...

Mummy: Evelyn, why did you remove Baby Claire's clothes?

Evelyn: She wanted to pom pom what...

Mummy: But after pom pom, why didn't you put her clothes back on? She will get sick if she's naked, you know?

Evelyn's Birthday Party in School

Such a lucky coincidence for Ko-ko that he had the day off as school was having Mid-Autumn Festival that evening. So he got to attend the school party with us (and enjoy your yummy cake).

We dropped you at school and went back to have breakfast and to eat breakfast and pick up Ko-ko.

To my surprise a large portion of the cake was finished by the kids in your class. Party packs were left to be distributed by Mrs. Teoh before the kids went home.

Evelyn's Frozen Party

Waaaay before your birthday arrived, you had already told me what cakes you wanted: both for school (Minnie) and at home (Frozen). So that was the theme we used for this year's 4th birthday party. As Kakak was in Indonesia on holiday, we planned to buy most of the food (from Naughty Nuri's and roast chicken from Song River). Only 1 dish (Aglio Olio) was cooked by daddy.

Ice Cream Day

All Exhausted

All exhausted after a long day. Starting the day with fever, you were still your usual cheerful self and had to wake up early this morning to prepare for your school annual concert.
Afternoon nap was only for a shirt while and so by 10pm you willingly told me that you were sleepy.
And less than 15 minutes, here you are... fast asleep

Lunch at Home

Today we both decided to be lazy and stay at home to rest. So we had instant noodles for lunch with Pepsi. Here are our smiling faces as we enjoy lunch.
