Day 3: Christmas Dinner

We drove off to the dinner location, following Waze but took a wrong turn which cost us an extra 10 minutes to get to the restaurant. Uncle Dennis was already there and he had pre-ordered the normal Omakase for adults and vegetarian Omakase for the both of you. It was an interesting experience to eat whatever the chef wanted to cook for us. Daddy had also ordered extra side dishes for the both of you. These were our 9 course dinner:

Day 3: Christmas Day

We had no specific plans to Christmas day. So we woke up to have a leisurely breakfast then hopped into the buggy to head to KLCC to walk around and look at the decorations.

After looking around, we decided to head to Avenue K to have a look at the Super Park which was a recommended place by Yvonne Kor-kor. We just wanted to have a look at the crowd and if it was worth to spend the time there the next day.

Since we were so free, we decided to see if we could play in the Breakout.. just for the fun of it. We could only get a slot at 3pm, so we headed back to KLCC for a bit of shopping for me, while the rest of you went back to rest. 

I don't have any pictures of us playing as photography was not allowed. But managed to get a picture of two jailbirds:

We headed back to the hotel after that for our evening cocktail. As it was Christmas day, we were even treated to Prosecco by the hotel on top of our usual drinks of gin-tonic and whiskey.

The hotel staff also treated us to caroling, which Mei-mei happily joined in (to sing and dance):

Then it was time to get back to the room to get ready for our dinner with Uncle Dennis.

Day 2/3: Christmas Presents

I just realised that I did not manage to take a picture of the presents which we had smuggled from Penang. Daddy and I bought the presents and packed them into our luggage before heading to KL. On Mondya morning, i took them our of our luggage and placed it near the TV, but daddy said was not visible. So when he went back to the room before us after breakfast, he moved it to the coffee table. Which you both immediately spotted the moment you walked in.

We decided to tell you that we did not know who gave the presents. So best to leave them until 12 midnight before opening them.. in case the hotel staff comes back to claim them... 

After dinner, we were all too tired and fell asleep before 12 midnight.. all except Ko-ko. He waited until 11.50pm and I guess he could not wait any longer and started to rip at the wrappers. Well, somehow the sounds woke up daddy and he scolded Ko-ko as it wasn't midnight yet. 

Well shortly after that I heard more ripping sounds.. coming from the bathroom! LOL!! I guess he was satisfied after that and went to sleep. It was a Coach wallet. 

The next morning, Mei-mei woke up and quickly ripped open her present... to find her handbag and another box. She looked at it confused and asked Ko-ko what it was (we had recycled a phone holder's box). And she was a happy trooper.. she got a Hatchimal. And it now hangs proudly on her new handbag. You decided to name the Hatchimal "Mango" when we went down to have breakfast and you got a mango juice for breakfast. 

Day2: Christmas Eve Dinner

We were so unsure of how to get to our dinner location, Zenzero. Daddy had checked it out on the map several times, but still wasn't sure if we should leg it, drive there or hop into a Grab. In the end, we got ready to leave at 7.15 for our 8.30 booking. And within a few minutes of my calling for a Grab, it was accepted... 

We had a very nice and friendly driver who took all sorts of short cuts (even driving through a hotel carpark!!) as it was very heavy traffic heading to our dinner location. We managed to arrive at the venue at around 7.45pm. 

So we decided to try our luck if we could get our table earlier (as I was informed that there was 2 seating: 6.00pm and 8.30pm) or else we planned to grab some drinks while waiting. In the end, we managed to get our table earlier and the ala carte option was available which was what we opted for.

After dinner, we tried to call for a Grab but failed. In the end, we had to exercise after our dinner. It wasn't too bad of a walk back to the hotel. And maybe a good option too as the traffic looked it like was not moving, on our way back to the hotel.

Day 2: Pavillion Christmas Decoration

After the Bird Park, we were trying to decide whether to go straight to Pavillion or to go back to the hotel, then walk to Pavillion. In the end, we decided to go straight to the mall. We had our lunch in the food court. It was soooOooo full of people. Daddy finally managed to get a table for us. After lunch, we went to look at the decorations.. it was Mickey themed Christmas:

We went to Parkson in search for a birthday present for Martin, but ended up buying more Christmas ornaments and no present. 

Then we headed to Cold Stone to have our ice-cream which daddy had promised on our way to the food court.  

We headed back to the car and then there was a bit of a traffic jam trying to get out of the mall car park, but luckily our hotel was nearby and we were soon back in the room. We rested a bit then headed to to pool for a quick dip. 

Day2: Christmas Eve at KL Bird Park

We tried to wake up earlier to have an early start at the KL Bird Park. So after waking up, having breakfast and getting ready, we all packed into daddy's car and headed to the KL Bird Park. 

We got off to buy the tickets while daddy searched for a shadier spot to park his car.

We were walking around when we spotted this peacock showing off. Even managed to get Evelyn in a picture with it:

We headed to the photo booth. They offered us an option to take their "professional photo" and also to take pictures using our phone:

And as we were leaving, the nice man let Evelyn have her own picture with one of the birds.. (she was complaining about the bird scratching her).

You both got a chance to feed the birds. We paid RM2 each and were given containers of milk to feed them:

After walking around for a while, it started to get really humid. So we quickly ran into the Bird School which was air conditioned.. phew..

As it was getting hotter and more humid, we quickly took a walk around the final zones of the bird park before leaving the park. 

Day 1: Christmas Holi-yay!

We planned to leave by 7.. but in the end, after loading the car, going to pump tyre pressure and struggling with the phone holder, we finally crossed the Penang Bridge just before 8am. As we were driving, we contemplated stopping by Ipoh for breakfast but decided not to in the end. Traffic wsa reported to be heavy at the Sungai Buluh are due to an accident but luckily as we arrived at the location, it was already cleared despite some glass shards on the ground.

As it was still early we headed to Publika to have lunch. It was at Tonkatsu by Ma Maison:

We then headed to BIG to look-see at the groceries. There we found out that they had kiddy trolleys.. Mei-mei was so happy.

We headed to the hotel next to check in. After getting our luggage, we headed to KLCC.. it was so packed on the way there and there was no buggy services as there was an Anime convention being held. First thing we did was to buy the tickets for the Petronas Twin Towers. Sunday tickets were sold out, it was closed on Monday and Tuesday tickets were only sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We we ended up buying tickets for the first ride up at 9 a.m. as we were going home on Wednesday.
KLCC was too packed and we were quite tired, so we headed back to the hotel to get a drink at the lounge after buying something light to have for dinner. Back at the hotel, daddy managed to get our stay extended by a day.
Later on, Mei-mei and I went to the pool while the two boys rested in the room. Unfortunately, we only got into the pool for less than 10 minutes when the lifeguard informed us that we had to get out of the pool as it was going to rain and may have thunder/lightning. Poor Evelyn.
We had a quick shower then headed to the lounge for light evening cocktail:

We ate a bit more in the room and then we all KO-ed for the night. 

#2 is Finally Extracted

Your tooth was giving you some pain for a while, and yet every time daddy tries to help you pull it off, you said that it hurt. Finally after over a week, daddy managed to extract it yesterday morning easily. Just a little bloody. In fact, the permanent tooth was already growing behind the milk tooth.

Last night, daddy told you to quickly go to sleep so that the tooth fairy can come visit after you had fallen asleep. And that everyone had to be sleeping or else she wouldn't visit. So you kept telling us to go to sleep.

This morning was one of the easiest days for daddy to wake you up. He just had to remind you to check to see what she had given you. And you had the biggest smile when you came down for breakfast.

Our Christmas Tree

It was a day off for all of us. So we decided to put up the Christmas tree rather than over the weekend. To me, it was a little overdue as we usually set up the tree earlier than this. Anyway... Ko-ko helped daddy to carry the tree from downstairs. 

After that, you both helped daddy put on the branches. Next was my job to put on the lights. This job took me longer than usual as I had to remove and replace two of the lights. They were a new set which we had bought last year. One was of a different color, while another could not connect to the lights at the top, so they could not be lighted. After a lot of sweat and confusion in trying to set up the lights, we were ready for the decoration.

This year, daddy and I got to sit back while the two of you picked the ornaments you wanted to put on the tree. As with previous years, Mei-mei loved to put the ornaments in a group. Daddy asked "Mei-mei.. why did you put them together like a family?" *grin*

The final touch was the angel which only daddy could reach. And he needed a chair to climb on also.
