Play Doh Day

Most Play Doh days are Sundays after Ko-ko  comes back from music class and you wake up from you nap.
Today, Ko-ko had to finish his homework before he could join us. Here are you both concentrating on your creations and your creations :

WIP Katana

During our last trip back to BM you had asked Grampy if he could make you a wooden Katana. Before that trip we were talking and I had shared with you that Grampy could make thigs out of wood beautifully.
So it was initially planned that you'd write him a letter asking him to make you a wooden sword and draw how you'd like the sword to look like. When you were planning this was our conversation :
Mummy : So you write the letter to Grampy and we'll post it to him ok?
Evan : OK. I will need to write my word bigger, right?
Mummy : Er... why? Grampy is deaf not blind... hahaha....
Evan : *grinning*

The letter was written but you kept being undecided on the design. In the end you opted for a Katana and to ask Grampy instead of to send him a letter. We Googled the picture and showed it to him.
During our latest trip back you kept saying that Grampy probaby had forgotten about your request. Ee-ee told you not to be so negative and Nanna also said that you'd be surprised.
And you were certainly surprised. .. and very happy too. Can tell by that big grin on your face:

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner with the Yeoh's

It was an early celebration as we were not sure of when we'd be going to Ipoh. Today was a long day in the car as we battled with traffic to buy the things for the night's steamboat dinner.
Just before we left the island,  we had to make a quick stop to pick up a cake at Uncle Tetsu's for a light birthday cake as we're having a double celebration : reunion and birthday.
When we reached Nanna's house we dropped the stuff including daddy (who was very tired) then hopped into Nanna's car to pick Ee-ee and visited Ah Chor Kong who just got back not too long ago from the hospital after suffering a stroke and heart attack.

Going to School

The picture on the left was taken on your first week of school last year. It appeared in my Facebook feed and coincidentally on the same day 1 year later I also stopped to take your picture in the morning just before heading to school.

So here's a combo picture of you 1 year apart. One thing which remains  the same is the shoes you wore to school as Ee-eehad pointed out.

Merry Christmas 2015

It's not Christmas when there is no presents, right? We managed to make you wait till morning then a little longer after lunch. Finally when we got back from lunch,  you both immediately rushed to the house to open your presents.

Dinner in Singapore

This is the view we saw on the way to the dinner location.. 

This was our dinner- pizza and wine at California Pizza Kitchen. Perfect combination:

We still had to look at the decorations again. So we walked around more before heading back to the room to rest. This was right outside our dinner location. 

Singapore Science Center

We woke up and had a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and went back to the room to get ready for a day out. We were not too sure on where to go and finally opted for the Singapore Science Center. We took a taxi to the center and this was the first picture of the day:

Daddy kept you two occupied while mummy queued up to buy tickets for the 4 of us into the Science Center and the Monsters of the Sea exhibition. Soon we all entered the Science Center.Here you are posing for mummy:

After walking around and tinkering with the exhibitions, we reached the Atrium just on time for the Tesla Coil Show. Here you are being a volunteer for one of the events:

This was the "Monsters of the Sea" exhibit which we just went through quickly as it didn't seem too interesting. And Mei-mei was rather afraid.

One final show to watch was the "Fire Tornado Show". It was very interesting but again, Mei-mei was afraid so she watched from further with daddy.

Shortly after that we took a cab and went back to the hotel to rest as Mei-mei was tired. 

First Glance at Christmas Lights on Orchard

So after we had out dinner, we headed towards ION then outside to look at the decorations along Orchard Road. There is the famous Swarovski tree which I had seen in picture before we arrived in Singapore:

After wondering around for a while daddy asked you if you wanted to have a look at the "snow" which would be in front of Somerset at the other end of Orchard Road. You said yes, so we battled out way past the very heavy human traffic and finally reached the place with a few minutes to spare before the bubbly "snow" appeared. You both had a lot of fun running around and playing.

On they way to the hotel, we stopped by Takashimaya to have a look at the very very very big tree.

Since we were there, we stopped by Cold Storage to pick up some fruits and beef (of which I left behind at the counter other than the beer *sad*).

A Short Trip to Singapore

Daddy had a working trip to Singapore and since the hotel was located just off Orchard Road, he asked if we wanted to join him there for a few days. 

So on Friday, Ah Kong and Ah Ma drove the 3 of us to the airport. This would be an adventure for the three of us as it would be a first time for me to travel with the both of you. Lucky thing just a direct flight to Singapore and to hop into a taxi straight to the hotel.

Daddy was at work and he had already informed the front desk to expect my arrival. So it was a breeze for me to get a new key card. Then we headed to the room where daddy had already stocked up with snacks and drinks for us.

Soon daddy arrived back from work. You were both so happy to see him. And so was he. We then headed to have dinner at a nearby food court as it was a Friday and the queue for restaurants were so so so long!

Arguing with a 3Year Old

Evelyn: Mummy,  today I had chippies and nuggets from KFC
Mummy: Did you keep any for me?
Evelyn: No...
Mummy: *showing sad face* How come you didn't keep any for me?

Thinks for a while
Evelyn: You was at work!!
Mummy: But you could have kept for me....
Evelyn: But you was at work!!!!
Mummy: You could have kept until I came back
Evelyn: Who ask you to come back so late???

How do I answer such a question? And yet you were not done:
Evelyn: You already ate biscuit with frosting and chocolate!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy

For daddy's birthday mummy bought the present the day before and you found out about it. The next morning , I woke up to wrap only to discover we had no wrapping paper at home. So I mixed 2 piece of A4 paper and wrapped then  gave the task of designing the wrapper to you.
You also insisted on a cake. You tasked Ah Ma to buy the cake. As usual daddy already suspected, but it was a lovely surprise for him.

Playing Together:

Evan: "Ding Dong". Evelyn, say "Who is there?"

Evan: No... say "Who is there?"

Evan: No. You don't get it!!! You must say "Who.. is.. there?"

Haha.. sure is stressful for you to play big kid games with your 3 year old sister. 

Adventure Zone Day

So after your piano exam,  daddy picked us up with Mei-mei strapped in the back seat.  Then as we had a heavy brunch we headed to Rajawali to meet up with Miss Beh who had something for Mei-mei since she missed school on Friday (last day of school). After that we went to Golden Sands Hotel for a good time in Adventure Zone.
You both certainly had fun. Can tell from the pictures:

Piano Exam

As I post this I'm glad that it is finally over. After several months of practice and Miss Goh who kindly gave you all extra classes too.
Whatever the marks is, I'm proud that you put in as much effort as you could down to this morning having one final practice  (although you got angry when you couldn't play one of the pieces).

The Little Car Wash

Daddy planned to have you guys help wash his car but every time it rained in the evening. At long last it looked relatively summy last week so you guys quickly changed to your bathers and got ready for your little car wash.

It started to drizzle as we finished washing the car. So daddy drove the car under the porch and we continued to dry up the car.

After that, we had steamboat for dinner.
