On the return trip from the 3 Points, we signed up for the Best of Perhentian excursion. This was a half day trip which started at 10am.
We woke up at around 7am and got ready to eat breakfast. The staff were still preparing the spread and we ate from this simple spread.
Breakfast with a spectacular view
We went back to the room to clear our systems and get ready for our trip. We went to the excursion center to meet our marine biologist, Naufal. Like yesterday, we were the only ones who had signed up for this trip. Off we went to the boat with the same boatman from yesterday. First stop was Pulau Serenggeh. Here we enjoyed the many types of corals and fishes.
Nemo!!
Then we got back into the boat and headed to another location, Pulau Tokong Burung. Naufal told us so snorkel a little here while he went to check whether the conditions was good enough for us to do the cliff jump. By this time, Mei-mei was not feeling well. Seemed to be getting seasick and said that she did not want to do the cliff jumping. So she stayed in the boat and ate a yogurt bar. Naufal signaled that it was ok to jump, so the boat went around the other side of the island while the rest of us climbed the very rocky cliff to reach the top.Gosh, it was so rocky, we were thankful that we wore our neoprene socks. Otherwise, we'd have many cuts on our feet. It wasn't an easy climb and I kept thinking to myself, I want to go back down, but when I look at the path I had clambered up onto, it's worst to go back down than to continue up!
We finally reached the top and Naufal told us there is the "beginner" jumping point, or the "intermediate" jumping point. We all picked the "intermediate" point and first to go was daddy. So sorry to him that Mei-mei was not in a condition to take a picture of him jumping (she probably didn't know how to manage the camera either). Next was Ko-ko and finally it was me! Ko-ko kept reminding me to jump further from the cliff before he took his jump.
We managed to get a family photo before hopping back into the boat.
When we got back to the resort, we all took a shower before heading to Bayu Restaurant for lunch. Mei-mei wanted to give this restaurant a try too.
Geronimo!!!
I screamed all the way down!
Naufal came last with my flippers and then we headed to Pulau Rawa for a picnic and rest.
Our boat docked. The boatman set up a hammock and enjoyed the lulling waves
By then, daddy started to not feel well. So he lay down on the picnic mat and took a nap. After a nap and a sweet drink and kuih which Naufal had brought with him, he felt better.
While daddy and I rested, the two of you continued to sit in the beach and tried skipping rocks.

After lunch, we went back to the room to rest a little. We had signed up for Discover Scuba Diving for the next day and picked the afternoon session (so that we need not wake up so early). There we met Minh, who would be one of our instructors/guide. After resting a little, daddy and Mei-mei went off for canoeing. Ko-ko and I went later, but we could not find them. So I left Ko-ko canoeing (after watching him sit on the canoe only to jump right out from the hot seat), while I went in search for the 2 missing folks.
Turned out they were at the pool. Ko-ko joined us shortly as it was too hot out in the sea. Then we headed back to the room as the pool was also rather crowded. After a short discussion, we opted to have a morning dive and so daddy and Ko-ko went off to talk to Minh and then the excursion center to sign up for the sunset excursion in the evening, since we had no plans for the evening.
