It's been a long day of walking and we headed home then decided to have dinner at the diner "Daiichi Asahi Kumano" which is literally just a stone's throw away from the house. Uncle Dennis calls this the "Set A" place, he had his lunch here on the day that he stayed home.
We each ordered our set meal which the cook/cashier/waiter prepared. It was a one-man-show but certainly was not a long wait for our food.
We were served our food very quickly, and boy was it yummy. Nice hot soupy noodles on a cold cold day.
The sets which Mei-mei, Ko-ko and I ordered came with gyoza and a bowl of rice. Daddy ordered a different set which came with fried rice and he had his gyoza ala carte.
When we arrived at the Kyoto Station earlier in the evening, we decided to go to Lopia, a supermarket which apparently sold groceries cheap. One thing though, it was so packed with shoppers and difficult to maneuver in the supermarket. Maybe because it's a Saturday.
We finally picked some beef and scallops to cook since they were cheap. And this is what we had for supper:
1 chef, 2 supervisors
Stir fried beef
Scallops
Sake
Beer
And that is our delicious meal for the evening.
