Driving us around...

You were back for the weekend. And of course, first thing you want to eat... char kuey tiau. 

Daddy did not play golf the whole weekend, so that he could spend time with you. So early Saturday morning, we headed to Kg. Jawa for your (current) favourite CKT. 

As you had mentioned that you would like to drive, we took the Honda City. Daddy drove there as you were not confident to be able to park the car. You drove us back.... and boy your sense of direction seems questionable as you turned towards the airport when you tried to drive us home!!

Then yesterday evening, you so willingly left earlier to go to the airport just so that you could drive to the airport in daddy's car.

I hope you had a good time this weekend. Eating so much food.. as usual. As if you're visiting from some ulu-kampung place that doesn't sell good food!!

Daddy and I went to the driving school to pick up your P license. So you are now able to drive.. scary lo.. 

Driving Test

Long, long day for you. We dropped you off at the learning center (the exam is held here) at around 7.40am. Then we headed to Kg. Jawa to eat the CKT and also to pack back for you, seeing that today is your last day in Penang for your December holiday.

We assumed you should be done quite quickly but it just kept on dragging on and on. At 10.30am, you had just completed the driving portion.. 1/3 of the test. Then you said that you were hungry. Had not packed any snack nor drink, thinking there was a vending machine there. Unfortunately, it was out of order! So we had to bring you some Panettone (CKT was rejected.. )

Then we headed back home and waited again. At around 2pm, we went to wait for you, thinking that you should be about done. But in the end, we had to head home as you still had to wait for... something...

You were finally done at 3pm. Brought you home to eat 1.,5 packets of the CKT (despite all the remarks about it not being as good as eating there, the egg being too cooked.. bla bla). You rested a bit and we packed the car then off we went to KL. 

Evan's Driving

While your driving lessons and exams will only be in December, daddy thought that it would be a good idea to practice with you. So you have been going around Jalan 15 and 16 in the Honda City for quite a few sessions. 

Today, daddy asked if I'd like to go along in the car. Er.. oh-kayyy... It wasn't too bad. For the first time, you went into Jalan 1 and the roads near the school area too. Only problem was when you approached the T-junction near the school, you shot out into Jalan 15 despite daddy and I yelling for you to stop.. as there was a white line across the road. Granted, the line on this T-junction is very odd, since it is a wide T.

You got very upset at being yelled at (I was so scared.. luckily there was no car coming). Sigh.. my boy.. you need to control your temper.

Anyhow, we did a few more rounds and also a 3-point turn before calling it a day.
