Finally.. It has arrived

It took us a long time to decide on whether a laptop was needed. And then what laptop to get for Ko-ko. Your Mac was already nearing the end of it's life. Then when we checked the delivery date online, it said 20-25 working days! Oh no! Looks like we needed to order earlier so that you will have the laptop around when your new school year starts. You will be needing it for the ICT subject.

Daddy had asked me to chat with the sales agent to make an inquiry. It turned out that he could give me a better price than that online, so we decided to proceed with ordering through this sales person.
Today your laptop was due to be delivered... You had been waiting for the whole day and the moment you hear the doorbell ring, you'd abandon your class and head down in hopes that it would be your laptop!
Well, here is it!
And here you are trying to open the box:

Such Amazing Kids

Daddy had to be hospitalized yesterday for a small procedure. It was initially planned to be done in August, which would have been a better time as you both would be on summer break and I had not reached my super peak busy period. Unfortunately, the hospital had a COVID exposure so everything had to be rescheduled.

So yesterday after dropping the both of you at school we headed to the hospital for admission. Daddy had to have a COVID test done before he was allowed into his hospital room. We waited for nearly 2 hours before we were brought to the room. There they got daddy ready and then they brought him to the operating theatre.

I had planned to go back after he got back from recovery as I had a lot of work to do. It took a long time before daddy was brought back and he had to lie down flat until 9.30pm. So in the end, I stayed on until at night.

My workstation

I'm so proud of the both of you as you managed to get things done on your own. Mei-mei had BM homework to be completed and handed in on Tuesday. My smart little girl had it done with Miss Koay. We finished off the balance 3 sentences over FaceTime.

Before I got back, Ko-ko had already planned what he wanted for the next day's breakfast and lunch in school. Additionally he also helped peel and pack Evelyn's orange for her school lunch.

Ko-ko also made sure that Mei-mei was ready and in bed by 9.30p.m. She was fast asleep by the time I got home.

When I got back and started to pack the masks, I noticed that Mei-mei had already packed the disposable mask and even washed up the reusable mask:

This morning, you both knew that I had an early meeting and so you both got up without a fuss and got ready on your own. In fact, you got ready earlier than days that daddy sent you to school.

Our two kids.. such good kids. Love you both loads.

Mummy's Birthday

It was a wonderful birthday. Woke up to this beautifully made card which came with a red "Apple" *wide grin*

Mei-mei also painted me a big pink heart for my birthday later in the day

My "red Apple".. ahhh... happiness

Ah Kong and Ah Ma treated us to Dim Sum lunch to celebrate my birthday:

As usual, since we were in the Komtar Dome you requested for a dino ride. Super expensive but you had fun and a big smile as you rode the triceratops which you picked:

Ko-ko and daddy in the meantime went for the VR battle "Space Time Squadron"

Since they were not done yet, you went for another ride on the carousel. As you were tall and brave enough to go on your own, I didn't need to join you. You were the only one on the carousel!!

The finale for my birthday was dinner cooked by daddy. It was Prime Roast with vegetable medley. Superb!!

Of course, it was paired with only the finest:

Even had breads heated up in the oven before being served:

Thank you to the both of you kids and also daddy for making this a special birthday. Love you all loads.

It's Finally Up

We had it made when  Mei-mei was 9 months old and you were 7 years old. The nice lady from KL who turned out to be my schoolmate came to the house to make the molds and delivered it to use around 2 months later.
Daddy found some time to put up the nail for this frame and a light and also to put up more nails on another wall for our picture collection in the room.

This was taken when it was Mei-mei's turn to have her mould made

Mother's Day Flowers

On top of a yummy breakfast, I got this beautiful craft from you. It's the first Mother's Day gift from you as you just started school this year.
So lovely that the school makes an effort to give us small tokens from our children.
Thank you for the lovely flowers.

Mother's Day Breakfast

My Mother's Day this year began with the yummiest cheese omelette ever. Er... yes I had to help you prepare some parts of the omelette but you did try your best despite your fear of the flame from the stove.
And my breakfast even came complete with coffee:

Thank you, darling for this yummy breakfast.

Back to her Cheerful Self

Thank goodness the our little cheerful baby is back. Only in short bursts but rather than the lethargic and whinging baby:

Alan Ku-ku is Back

As usual he's back for the shortest trip ever. A stopover before he begins his meetings in Shanghai.
Love it that you kids just take to him so well,  especially Mei-mei who was too young when you met him last year.

Balloon Addicts

The moment we reached Gurney Plaza today, you spotted someone carrying a balloon.  Immediately you told daddy "bor-bor" (ball ball).
So after buying a new pair of school shoes for Ko-ko, we went in search for a balloon for you.  Unfortunately, we walked to both the new and old wing but there wasn't any one giving out balloons.  We even tried our luck with the Bobbi Brown shop where you got your balloon on Saturday.  But no luck.
As we walked around in search for the illusive balloon, you kept turning to daddy and asking him in your really sad voice "bor-bor? ".
In the end, just before we left, I tried my luck at the Baskin Robbins booth. I saw that they had balloons on the way down but wasn't sure if they'd give me one if we didn't buy anything from them.  But the guy was really nice. We got not 1 but 2 balloons as Ko-ko also wanted one.
Look at the two happy faces:

Kisses and Hugs Makes My Day

I'm so glad that you are still at the age where you don't mind giving me kisses and hugs still. Of course, if I'm dressed up for work which means I've got lipstick on you won't allow me to kiss you for fear of having a lipstick mark on your cheek. Then again, naughty you will always wipe your cheek after receiving a juicy kiss.
Evelyn on the other hand still doesn't know how to give kisses.  Sometimes when she's in the mood, she'll put her mouth over my nose and say "muahh". Just like how she gives her "flying kisses". For now I'm contented with the big hugs and smiles I get from her.
MUAHHH to my two precious "RotiBans".
